Russian Helicopter Systems is a long-standing partner of Russian Helicopters and the only non-State operator of helicopter platforms located within the city of Moscow. The RVS helicopter fleet consists of Robinson Helicopters, AugustaWestland, Russian Helicopters and Airbus Helicopters.
Since September 23, 2017, medical aviation helicopters have performed the successful medical evacuation of 74 people to various hospitals in the Pskov region, said the acting provincial governor of the Pskov region Mikhail Vedernikov, during a live phone-in on March 2 at the editorial office of the Pskovskaya Pravda newspaper.
According to the head of the region, “for remote areas, medical aviation is the only way to provide medical assistance. The medical aviation program will continue, the limits for the current year have already been approved, and two helicopters are operating in the region.”
The Helimed specialized aviation medical service, a subdivision of Russian Helicopter Systems, has operated in the region since September 23. In September, the Pskov region received the medical Ansat under the priority project “Ensuring the timeliness of emergency medical assistance to citizens living in hard-to-reach areas of the Russian Federation”, approved by the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects.
